University of British Columbia Indigenous Foundations – Community and Politics

Transforming Relations: A Collaborative Collection

The First Nations Studies Program at University of British Columbia (UBC) has created this section on their website to “provide a starting point for those interested in understanding the myriad ways in which Aboriginal peoples have organized for increased political representation”.

They have grouped together and discussed several various examples of actions and initiatives that have notably resisted “unilateral, top-down imposition of government policies that impact their rights and title”. To find out more and read about these various case studies visit the Community & Politics sub-site under The First Nations Studies Program at UBC website and begin navigation using the on-screen left hand toolbar.
